Local Government Leadership Academy
The Local Government Leadership Academy (LGLA) is a nine-month, cohort program that includes in-person workshops, virtual sessions, online self-study, and goal-setting to develop local government leadership skills.
As leaders apply the skills they learn, they create intra-agency improvements (e.g. strategic decision-making) that ultimately improve the overall functioning of local governments as organizations, and thus their capacity to provide quality services to Wisconsin communities.
When: Noon-1:15 on alternate Thursdays, January 16, 2025- September 30, 2025
Where: Hybrid Virtual delivery with 3 in person meetings (Feb/May/August) – participants can attend from home or local office.
Who: The LGLA is open to any elected official OR staff member of any county or municipality in Wisconsin. Space permitting, members of the public may enroll.
How Much: The cost of the program is $1200.
